CODE OF CONDUCT

Players and guests are required to uphold these rules and expectations to ensure a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for everyone!

  1. Follow directions provided by any event organizer or facility coordinator regarding the use and accessibility of the courts.

  2. Show respect to fellow players. Refrain from excessive swearing, screaming, or aggressive behavior toward another player or players. Any act of verbal or physical violence or discrimination may result in suspension of playing privileges and expulsion.

  3. In open play and drop-in events, exercise consideration for others. Respect any queue and rotation guidelines set by the event host.

  4. When walking behind or through a court that is in use, be sure to wait until any active point has been completed. Inform the players of your presence when passing through and do your best to minimize disruption.

  5. If a ball from your court rolls onto another court, loudly shout “BALL” to make the other players aware and reduce any risk of injury. Help pick up stray balls in your area, and be sure to pause game play if necessary to alert other players of potential tripping hazards in their vicinity.

  6. Respond politely and accurately when asked for proof of membership or registration concerning use of NYC Pickleball property, including balls and nets.
